The new season is fast approaching and we would like to take this opportunity to remind you of a few changes for this season.
With Covid-19 still affecting everyone’s lives, we are retaining the booking system to control numbers in the pool and so that we can comply with both Covid-19 safety guidelines as well as track and trace requirements for public places. We have made some small, but significant changes to the booking system for which will hopefully improve your overall pool experience this season
Booking Swim Sessions
The major change we have made for visitors is removing the requirement to register for an account and to login before booking a swim slot. This season visitors can just pick a swim slot, enter their details, name, email and mobile number (for track and trace), then book and pay for the slot. Visitors can still create an account, but the only advantage is to track their booking history.
However, if you are a Season Ticket Holder, you will still need to login to your account before booking, to take advantage of your Season Ticket (see below).
Individual Swim Sessions
The Fitness, General, Inclusive and Aqua Aerobics swims are only bookable as individual slots. You cannot book more than one person on a slot. A second person in your family or party will have to book their own ticket using a seperate email address. So remember, 1 email address, 1 ticket! This does not apply to the Family Swim sessions
Inclusive Swim Sessions
We would ask you not to book the Sunday morning Inclusive Swim Sessions unless you meet the qualification criteria. Please read the notes on the Inclusive Swim web page before booking. If you book and do not qualify, you will be refused entry and your booking fee will not be refunded. You will also be denying someone in need of the Inclusive Swim, a session in the pool.
We would like to remind you that once you have booked and paid for a swim slot, there is no refund. So, please make sure you are booking the slot that you want and will be able to attend. If you can’t make the session , please cancel your booking. By doing this you free up a slot for someone else. With limited numbers on every session we do not want to waste spaces that could be used by others
Season Ticket Holders
If you are a Season Ticket Holder, you will have to login before you book a swim slot, if you do not, you will have to pay the normal price for your ticket. Also, you will not be able to book Season Ticket Holder only Swim sessions.
Please note that your Season Ticket does not include Aqua Aerobics (run by a 3rd party) or Inclusive Swim Sessions. Also there is no priority booking with a Season Ticket. All swim sessions are on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
As we said in our previous newsletter, we will continue to review both Government and Swim England guidelines, in particular the government’s current aim to lift all social distancing restrictions on June 21st. Any changes in our operations including the possibility of Evening Pool Hire will not be made before the 1st July at the earliest.
