Planters
Last year we asked for plant donations to fill our beautiful planters. People were extremely generous and our planters were a focal point throughout the season. This year, we are asking for donations again so, if you have any plants that are suitable for containers, please could you drop them off at the pool on Saturday 14th May between 10am and midday. Our team of volunteers will be there to accept and plant them.
Volunteers
Our amazing volunteers are key to the success of the pool and without them we would not be able to operate our wonderful pool.
We are always eager to have more volunteers to join us either helping out at the Tuck Shop or on the Gate/Cleaning rota. It is a lot of fun; not overly taxing and you get to be part of a great team in beautiful surroundings, So, would you like to join our amazing team?
There will be volunteer information sessions on Saturday 14th May from 10am to 11am and 11am to midday. Why not come and meet us see what is involved and decide if it is for you. We would love you to join us. If you can’t make the 14th or you have some questions, please contact our volunteer team via our Contact page, Please select Volunteer Team on the contact form.
Recently Shirley Bond emailed our regular volunteers by email. If you haven’t seen her message, please can you check your email inbox, including junk/spam folders and respond to her email. If you haven’t received it please contact Shirley via our Contact page, Please select Volunteer Team on the contact form.
Mobile Hoist
We are fully committed to making the pool as accessible as possible to ALL members of our community here in Cirencester. In this regard, we are delighted that last year's fundraising efforts has meant that we have been able to purchase a mobile hoist to help less abled swimmers enter and exit the pool more easily and safely. We are awaiting delivery and hopefully we will have the hoist installed and our staff trained in its operation so that it will be ready for use at the beginning of the season or just soon after.
We would like offer our sincere thanks to all the fundraisers, individuals and organisations who have contributed funds to make this purchase possible.
Book Stall
We run a bookstall at the Corn Hall in Cirencester, most weeks. All the proceeds from the sales of books from this goes toward running the pool. Last year our book stall raised £2,000 thanks to the generosity of Wildmoor Properties, our volunteer booksellers team and donations of books.
Book donations are always welcome, they can be brought to the pool during the season or to the Corn Hall and left under the stall when we are there. You can also purchase books at the pool during normal opening times.
Thank you for your continued support and see you all in May!
