Drop in and Swim Sessions

Thursday and Friday Afternoons 2:45pm, Saturday and Sunday from 10:15am

No need to book for these swim sessions, you just turn up and pay or show your season ticket. You will be able to stay all day if you want. Entry will be on a first come, first served basis

The Tuck Shop will be open or you can bring your own picnic and sit around the patio.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If the weather is fine you may have to queue as our capacity is based on the number of lifeguards we have on site. We need one lifeguard for every 30 people in the pool. Normally we have 2 lifeguards on at all times so hence the capacity of 60 people. If the weather is predicted to be fine, we will try and get more lifeguards in to increase capacity. However, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to do this every time. Your cooperation in regards to capacity is needed and you will have to be patient at busy times.

Family Swims Sessions are 1½hour sessions aimed at families with young children. The whole pool including the children's pool and patio area is open. Tables and seating are provided for picnics, the Tuck Shop is open for a selection of snacks, hot and cold drinks, ice creams etc.

We do not recommend these sessions for people who might want to swim lengths or do some fitness training.

General Swims

Any child under 8 years of age MUST be accompanied by an adult both in and out of the pool at ALL times.

These sessions are for people who want to improve their fitness and swimming technique. There are fast, medium and slow…

These sessions are for people who want to improve their fitness and swimming technique. There are fast, medium and slow lanes in operation, you should choose a lane that is suitable for your swimming speed. You may be asked by the lifeguards to switch lanes if you are considered by them to be in the wrong lane. You will be swimming in lanes that are occupied by other swimmers who maybe a little slower or faster than you, please act accordingly and respect your fellow swimmers.

Our Inclusive Swim sessions welcome people with physical and mental health issues. They are designed to give you the opportunity to improve your wellbeing and confidence through swimming. Places on this swim are limited to provide plenty of time and space in the pool.

Examples of people who enjoy these sessions include people with Asperger's, dementia, body confidence issues and acute anxiety.

Buddies

You can bring up to two 'Buddies' to enable you to access this session, however only one 'Buddy' can swim with you.

  • Swim Buddy - When booking an Inclusive Swim, you will be able to book a place for yourself and if required, a ' Swim Buddy' who will be able to swim and assist you in the pool.
  • Pool Buddies - If you require assistance in getting to the pool complex, entering and exiting the pool, you can also bring up to 2 'Pool Buddies' to assist you.

There is NO entry fee for Buddies.
