Dive into history at Cirencester’s Open Air Swimming Pool
BOOK A SWIM

Bordering Cirencester Park, this historic open air pool has been inviting visitors to its warm spring-sourced waters since 1870
Our pool’s serenely beautiful setting is just a few minutes’ walk from the centre of town so come and enjoy the sessions that run from May to September.
The main pool is 27m long, has 4 lanes and is kept at an inviting 26 degrees. Originally built as a 30 yard pool, a 1 mile swim is 59 lengths.
We also have a children’s pool that’s 0.5m deep.
Lastly, there’s our delightful tuck shop, serving hot and cold snacks and drinks to keep hunger at bay while sun block, swimming aids and second-hand swimwear are stocked at the shop.

Whether you want dawn dips, lunchtime lengths, aqua aerobics, a leisurely swim or a splash with the family, there’s something for everyone.
Our changing rooms for male, female and disabled users are open plan, with plenty of space for manoeuvrability and several cubicles for privacy. They have lockers, toilets and coin-operated showers and hair dryers (which take 20p pieces – you can get these at the gate).
There’s also a separate changing room for families and wheelchair users, equipped with a full-length changing table, a toilet and an accessible shower with a chair.
