HOT Weather Protocol – In Effect
Due to the high temperatures we’re currently experiencing, our HOT weather protocol is now in place. This ensures we manage the pool safely and fairly for all users.
What This Means for Swimmers:
Hydration: Please bring water and drink regularly. We encourage everyone to take breaks in the shade and stay well hydrated.
Shade & Sunscreen: Hats and sunscreen are strongly advised. Young children should take regular rests out of the sun. Sunscreen is available in the tuck shop.
Capacity Monitoring: We may need to temporarily pause entry if the pool reaches safe capacity. Our team will manage queues accordingly.
Queue Etiquette: First come, first served remains in place. Please be patient and respectful to others in the queue.
Heat Illness: If anyone feels faint, dizzy, or unwell, they should leave the water and inform a staff member immediately.
Thunder & Lightning Protocol:
If thunder or lightning is heard or seen:
The pool must be cleared immediately.
We wait 30 minutes from the last sound of thunder or lightning flash before allowing swimmers back in.
This rule is non-negotiable and based on safety guidance for all open water and outdoor pools.
We understand this may be frustrating on busy days, but your safety is our absolute priority.
