Autumn Season Announcement

Thank You for a Wonderful Summer

As summer begins to turn towards autumn, we wanted to say a very big thank you.

Thank you to everyone who has visited, swum, chatted, relaxed, brought friends, discovered us for the first time, and kept coming back.

A very special thank you to our wonderful volunteers, who have worked behind the scenes to look after the plant room and the water, welcomed swimmers through the gates, kept everything running smoothly, and kept the tuck shop stocked with tea, coffee, snacks and treats throughout the season.

And, of course, to our brilliant lifeguarding team, who have kept everyone safe and helped make the pool such a welcoming place to be.

We really couldn’t do it without you. ❤️

One Last Summer Evening

Before we settle into autumn, there’s time for one final summer swim.

🌙 Last Night Swim — Saturday 19 September

6:30pm & 7:30pm sessions

Families are welcome, and with sunset at around 7:15pm, the second session will take place as the light fades and the evening begins.

Please note there are only 50 spaces available per session. Booking is essential, so check our website for details.

A Different Rhythm

With the schools back and the days beginning to shorten, the pool takes on a different rhythm.

This year, we’re delighted to be continuing into autumn with a six-week season, from 23 September to 1 November.

We’ll be open five days a week, for around four to five hours a day, with a focus on health, wellbeing and enjoying the outdoors as the seasons change. We’ll be maintaining the pool temperature at a comfortable 26°C throughout this period.

There’ll be plenty of lane swimming, including our extra-wide lane for those who prefer to take their time, as well as some general swimming sessions.

Our Inclusive Swim will continue at weekends, providing a welcoming space for people with additional physical, sensory or anxiety-related needs to enjoy the pool.

Something New for Autumn

We’re also beginning to introduce something we’re very excited about…

Sauna + cold water.

We’re currently working on a new sauna and cold water experience for the autumn months, with a pop-up sauna, cold plunge pools and outdoor showers.

There’ll be space to warm up, cool down, pause and relax, with the added benefit of having our pool right there too (which will remain at 26°C).

It’s a slightly different way of experiencing the pool: warmth, cold water, swimming, fresh air and time to yourself .

We’ll be sharing more details very soon.

More Ways to Swim

We’re also looking at some new ways to enjoy the pool this autumn and beyond.

Private Pool Hire

Fancy doing something a little different? We’re looking at offering 1½-hour private pool hire sessions, giving you the chance to have the pool to yourselves for a party, gathering or simply a memorable swim with friends.

Masters Swimming

We would love to run a Masters Swimming session for people who love swimming and want to take things a little further. We know that some of you want to improve your stroke, pick up some tips, or maybe be pushed a little harder.

The one thing we need to make this happen is a coach. If you, or anyone you know, would be willing to donate an hour of their time at the weekend, or to take on some sessions as a paid coach, we’d be delighted to hear from you.

Keep Swimming

For the autumn season, you can choose to purchase Season Tickets or simply pay as you go.

If you have a 10 Swim Card, any remaining credits will be valid until 1 November.

And yes, the tuck shop will still be open, with the usual tea, coffee and snacks.

Summer may be changing into autumn, but the water is still here.

We hope you’ll join us for the season ahead. ❤️
