Fundraising, Sponsorship & Gifts

Each year, we aim to improve our facilities by either purchasing new equipment or renovating and improving our existing facilities. We have to raise funds though our charity to pay for these improvements, as the entrance money is used for the day to day running of the pool. We approach local companies and funders where possible.

We hold several fundraising events throughout the season, including a Dawn Swim, normally held around the 21st June, where you can watch the sun rise while swimming. We also have late evening swims and a 24 hour swimathon, so something for everyone. Having fun in our spectacular surroundings while raising money for our charity, what better way is there to spend a few hours?

Fundraising Achievements

Every year, we aim to improve our existing facilities so we fund-raise to renovate where we can and to buy new equipment, if that’s required.  

Key fundraising events in our calendar are Mid-Summer’s Dawn Dip where you can watch the sunrise as you swim.  

We also hold Starlit Swims where you can watch the moon rise from the warm waters of the pool.

As a result of these efforts, in 2021/2022, we raised enough money to buy and instal a mobile hoist and a full-sized changing table, both of which have transformed access to the pool for our less-able bodied visitors.  

Emboldened by these efforts, we ran another campaign in 2022 to raise £12,000 so we could buy and instal solar panels that would reduce both our energy costs and our carbon footprint – the benefits quickly being seen in 2023.

Fundraising for 2025

This year, our target is to raise £50,000 in order to achieve our goals.

We prefer to work with local companies and suppliers whenever possible since this reinforces our links with the area and our precious community.
