Become a Lifeguard – NPLQ Course, 17th–21st August

Following our approval as an RLSS UK Training Centre, we’re running a full National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) course, 17th–21st August. We’ve got 6 of 12 spaces left.

The course will be split between our outdoor pool and the barracks behind the pool, kindly provided by Core to Cloud Ltd – huge thanks to Fiona, James and the team for their support.

Lifeguarding isn’t just for the young ‘uns. Several of our current team are in their 50s and 60s, and they were brilliant during our busy spring season – stepping up exactly when our student lifeguards were away at university. If you love swimming and fancy a role that keeps you active, sociable, and genuinely useful to your local pool, this could be it.

The NPLQ is the UK’s leading pool lifeguard qualification and internationally recognised, giving you the opportunity to work at pools across the UK and, in some cases, overseas, subject to local employer requirements.
