Sauna and wellness facilities

Find out everything about our wellness facilities at the outdoor pool.

Q. What’s included in a wellness session?

A. Our wellness sessions combine a swim with time in the sauna. You’ll have use of the main pool (heated to around 26°C), our pop-up sauna, two cold plunge pools, the outdoor showers and our changing rooms.

Q. How long is a session?

A. Each session lasts 30 minutes. We do have the occasional 45 minute session in the mornings as well, please check when booking. You don’t need any sauna experience or an induction, just book and come along. If you’d like a longer visit, you’re welcome to book two sessions back to back.

Q. How long should I stay in the sauna?

A. Not for the whole session! Most people enjoy short rounds of 5 to 15 minutes in the heat, with a cool down in a plunge pool, a swim or a rest in between. If you’re new to cold water, start with around 30 seconds in the plunge pool and build up gradually to a couple of minutes. Listen to your body, take plenty of breaks and keep drinking water.

Q. What wellness facilities do you have?

A. Alongside our spring-fed pools, we have a pop-up sauna that holds up to 8 people, two plunge pools that give a cold-water contrast to the sauna’s heat, and outdoor showers.

We have changing facilities and toilets on site for male, female, family and disabled users. Lockers are available but you’ll need to bring your own padlock. Our Tuck Shop sells hot and cold drinks and snacks.

Q. Will I be sharing the sauna and plunge pools?

A. Yes, wellness sessions are shared. The sauna holds up to 8 people at a time and the plunge pools are best enjoyed on their own, so please take turns and give everyone space.

Q. Do you have quiet sessions?

A. Yes, some sessions are set aside as quiet sessions for anyone who’d like to relax without the chatter. Look for sessions labelled “Quiet” in our booking system.

Q. Who can use the sauna and plunge pools?

A. Our wellness facilities are for anyone aged 16 and over.

If you’re pregnant or have any health condition, please check with your doctor before booking. The sauna is hot and the plunge pools are very cold, so be aware of how you’re feeling, take regular breaks and stay hydrated.

Q. Can I use the sauna without swimming?

A. Our sauna is booked as part of a combined swim and sauna session, so the pool is always included. Use as much or as little of it as you like.

Q. Do I need to book?

A. Yes, please. There are only 8 sauna places in each session, so booking in advance is the best way to make sure you get in.
