150+ years of swimming. Thousands of memories. And we want to hear yours!

We’re delighted to be part of Heritage Open Days, England’s largest festival of history and culture, and we’ve got an exhibition at the pool celebrating our long and colourful history.

Old photos. Funny stories. Familiar faces. Poolside memories.
We want to see them all.

We’ve heard stories of swimmers dashing down after school for a quick dip, mahogany-tanned characters up at the pool, and the stories behind the names engraved on our benches.

But there’s so much more history out there.

Were you involved in setting up the charity and saving the pool for the town? Did you swim here years ago? Did your family? Have you got a photograph tucked away in a drawer, or a story you’ve never told us?
