Hot Bank Holiday weekend – tips and FAQs
Hot Bank Holiday Weekend Update
We’re expecting a very busy weekend, so here’s a quick recap of how sessions and entry work:
Weekend Morning sessions: limited spaces bookable online + loads of room for drop-ins
Weekend Afternoon sessions: drop-ins only
If you haven’t been able to book a morning session, please still come along. We’ll admit drop-ins as soon as we’ve checked in booked swimmers and will do our best to get you in! There may be a wait while our volunteers and lifeguards manage pool capacity and queues safely, so please bring water and sun protection.
Tip: arriving slightly later can often mean a quicker entry.
Morning sessions are 3 hours long and can see hundreds of visitors in hot weather. Afternoon drop-in sessions can accommodate up many people across the 4-hour session, so staggering your visit may help avoid the busiest times.
Parking reminder:
Please do not park on Cecily Hill, in residents’ bays, or around The Mead. There are several public car parks within a 5–10 minute walk — details are available on our website. https://cirenopenair.org.uk/visit/#location
And honestly, it’s for your own good as well as the residents’. The traffic wardens know exactly when the hot weather arrives and will be handing out tickets faster than we can hand out wristbands.
Thanks for your patience and support, and have a fantastic Bank Holiday weekend! ![]()
