Disabled Parking Bays

The pool is next door to the Barracks car park where there are some disabled parking bays.

These spaces are close to a gate that opens onto the poolside, giving direct access to our facilities.

If you’ll be parking here, please phone ahead so we can open the gate when you arrive.

Disabled Access & Ramps

If you’ve booked an inclusive session, we’ll be on hand to open the back gate to the Barracks car park and welcome you to the pool.

The poolside is suitable for wheelchairs and walkers and has ramps, making our whole site easily accessible.

Changing Rooms & Toilets

Our changing rooms are open plan, with plenty of space for manoeuvrability and several cubicles for privacy.

One of these cubicles is designed for wheelchair users and has a full-length changing table, a toilet and a shower with a chair.

Pool Hoist

For any swimmers who need help accessing the water, we have a mobile hoist that provides the freedom and dignity to get in and out of the pool easily.

If you’d like to use the hoist, please let the swimming pool know in advance.

Poolside Facilities

We have a tuck shop, selling hot and cold drinks and snacks.

There’s also a shop where you can get sun block and swimming aids… and if you forget your costume, there’s also a rail of second-hand (pre-loved?) swimwear.

Assistance Dogs

If you need to come with an assistance dog, you’ll need to discuss this with the Pool Manager prior to entry (01285 653497). In addition, you will need to bring a non-swimmer who will be responsible for the dog while its owner is swimming. The dog and the support person will need to remain off the poolside, in the area by the entrance gate.
